Highly-stretchy, flame retardant speaker cloth
Flame retardant acoustic speaker cloth on the basis of STOPFIRE® by the Sinterama Company.
STOPFIRE® is an inherently flame retardant fibre; these properties are introduced during the preparation phase of the raw material by the addition of phosphorous-based comonomer as a flame retarding agent.
The agent, when introduced during polymeric manufacturing ensures permanent flame retardance. This differs from that obtained from surface applications to fabrics.
It is permanent and resists loss of flame retardant properties during both wear (removal by abrasion) and cleaning (washing, ironing and brushing) of the acoustic speaker cloth.
