With our custom printed acoustic transparent fabrics, we are ushering in the era of personalised speaker fabric, and we look forward to being your trusted partner in the fully customised design of sound systems, AV furniture, and acoustically optimised rooms.
From now on, work with us to completely redefine the aesthetics of acoustics – with your sound, your style, and your look.
Acoustic images, individually designed hi-fi furniture, personal speaker boxes
With the option of having your desired motif printed directly onto the acoustic fabric by us at the time of ordering, you can use your self-designed pattern, your favourite photo, or simply an exciting motif from one of the many image databases.
A little tip:
Look around for public domain works which are often labelled with “CC0”. Such works, graphics and images, as well as some explanations about using these works, can be found at pixabay.com.
We print the acoustic fabric using sublimation printing, which means you don’t have to compromise on sound permeability. The colour is introduced into the fibre and “clogging” of the meshes, as can happen in flatbed printing, for example, is thus completely excluded.
Choosing the right format
The overall dimensions result from the desired image size plus frame profile and 3 cm for fastening on the back on each side of the image. It can be calculated in two simple steps:
1. Add the frame profile (height) to the desired image size.
Example: Desired size: 60 cm x 80 cm + frame profile per side: 4 cm (60 + 4 + 4 = 68 cm and 80 + 4 + 4 = 88 cm)
= Desired image size: 88 x 68 cm
2. 3 cm allowance for fastening on the reverse
You need a 3 cm trim allowance to attach the fabric to the back of the frame on all sides. Example: Desired image size + allowance per side: 3 cm (68 + 3 + 3 = 74 cm and 88 + 3 + 3 = 94 cm)
= Required overall dimensions
You must therefore select the minimum size 80 x 110 cm in the selection shown above.
Data transfer
During the ordering process you can attach the file to be printed to your order.
We prefer print-ready PDF files in PDF/X-3 standard. Pure image files may be attached in TIFF format. Images in JPEG format may not be suitable because they are usually compressed.
Colours
Our colour profile recommendation for data submission in the CMYK colour space:
ISOcated_v2.ICC.
Resolution and size
Create the file at 1:1 to the output size. The image should be submitted at 200-300 dpi.
Explanations about the acoustic fabric used:
² Acoustic Fabric 2.0: Water-repellent acoustic fabric that retains its water-repellent property even after printing. You can find the relevant laboratory tests for water repellency under Downloads.
³ Acoustic Fabric FR: Non-flammable acoustic fabric that retains this property even after printing by us. We have had this tested and certified by a test institute. The certificate for the fabric printed by us can be found under Downloads or here.
