Acoustic pictures, individually customised hi-fi furniture, personal loudspeaker boxes
With the option of having your desired motif printed directly onto the acoustic fabric by us at the time of ordering, you can use your own design, your favourite photo or simply an exciting motif from one of the numerous image databases.
A little tip:
Look for public domain works, which are often labelled “CC0”. Such works, graphics and images as well as some explanations for the use of these works can be found at pixabay.com.
We print the acoustic fabric using sublimation printing, so you do not have to compromise on sound permeability. The ink is incorporated into the fibre and a “clogging” of the meshes, as can happen for example in flatbed printing, is thus completely ruled out.
Selecting the right format
The overall dimensions are the desired image size plus frame profile and 3 cm for fixing on the reverse on each side of the image. This can be calculated in two simple steps:
1. Add the frame profile (height) to the desired image size.
Example: Desired size: 60 cm x 80 cm + frame profile per side: 4 cm (60 + 4 + 4 = 68 cm and 80 + 4 + 4 = 88 cm)
= Desired image size: 88 x 68 cm
2. 3 cm allowance for fixing on the back
You need a 3 cm trim allowance to attach the fabric to the back of the frame on all sides.
Example: Desired image size + trim allowance per side: 3 cm (68 + 3 + 3 = 74 cm and 88 + 3 + 3 = 94 cm)
= Required overall dimensions
So you must select the minimum size of 80 x 110 cm from the selection shown above.
Data transmission
During the ordering process, you can attach the file to be printed to your order.
We prefer print-ready PDF files in PDF/X-3 standard. Pure image files can be attached in TIFF format. Images in JPEG format may not be suitable as these are usually compressed.
Colours
Our colour profile recommendation for data delivery in the CMYK colour space:
ISOcated_v2.ICC.
Resolution and size
Create the file 1:1 to the output size. The image should be delivered at 200-300 dpi.
Explanations on the acoustic fabric used:
² Acoustic fabric 2.0: Water-repellent acoustic fabric, which retains its water-repellent property even after printing. Under Downloads, you will find the relevant laboratory tests for water repellency.
³ Acoustic fabric FR: Non-flammable acoustic fabric, which retains this property even after being printed by us. This has been tested and certified by a test institute. The certificate for the fabric printed by us can be found under Downloads or here.
