Acoustic pictures, customised hi-fi furniture, personalised loudspeaker boxes
With the option of having your desired motif printed directly onto the Speaker Cloth when ordering, you can use your own design, your favourite photo or simply an exciting motif from one of the numerous image databases.
A little tip:
Look around for public domain works which are often labelled "CC0". You can find such works, graphics and images as well as some explanations on the use of these works at pixabay.com.
We print the Speaker Cloth using sublimation printing, which means you don't have to compromise on sound permeability. The colour is applied into the fibres and "clogging" of the meshes, as can happen in flatbed printing, for example, is completely ruled out.
Choosing the right format
The overall dimensions are calculated from the desired picture size plus the frame profile and 3 cm for fixing to the back on each side of the picture. It can be calculated in two simple steps:
1. add the frame profile (height) to the desired picture size.
Example: Desired size: 60 cm x 80 cm + frame profile per side: 4 cm (60 + 4 + 4 = 68 cm and 80 + 4 + 4 = 88 cm)
= Desired picture size: 88 x 68 cm
2. 3 cm allowance for mounting on the back
You need 3 cm bleed allowance to attach the fabric to the back of the frame on all sides. example: Desired picture size + bleed allowance per side: 3 cm (68 + 3 + 3 = 74 cm and 88 + 3 + 3 = 94 cm)
= Required total dimensions
You must therefore select the minimum size of 80 x 110 cm in the selection shown above.
Data transfer
During the ordering process, you can attach the file to be printed to your order.
We prefer print-ready PDF files in PDF/X-4 standard. Pure image files can be attached in TIFF format. Images in JPEG format may not be suitable as they are usually compressed.
Colours
Our colour profile recommendation for data delivery in CMYK colour space:
ISOcated_v2.ICC.
Resolution and size
Create the file 1:1 to the output size. The image should be submitted at 200-300 dpi.
