Our loudspeaker fabrics are the first choice for high-quality speakers, studio builds and bespoke DIY projects. And although we do not ship directly to every country, there is a straightforward way for both private and business customers worldwide to get hold of our popular covering fabrics quickly, reliably and without fuss.
Our regular customers know that we have, for some time, stopped shipping directly to all EU countries. A quick recap: the EU packaging regulation obliges companies to fulfil various return, registration and licensing requirements for packaging materials, varying by country. In some member states these rules are very complex and costly to comply with, so we decided to suspend direct deliveries there for the time being. (We have explained this in detail in a previous blog post.)
For direct deliveries to countries outside the EU, the administrative burden is even greater. As a result, we generally only supply business customers and only in bulk, on an FCA basis — i.e. collection from our premises by a carrier arranged by the customer.
Recently — and more by chance than design — we discovered a surprisingly simple solution that gives both business and private customers worldwide unfettered access to our range.
The clever workaround: use a parcel-forwarding service
Here’s the good news: even when we cannot ship directly to your country, you can still order from us — without delivery restrictions, minimum order quantities or complicated logistics. The trick is to use a parcel-forwarding service and provide a German delivery address. There are many providers who receive parcels in Germany and forward them to destinations such as Hungary, Portugal, the UK, the USA — or anywhere else.
How it works:
- Place your order as usual and enter the German address provided by your chosen forwarding service.
- The German forwarding company accepts the parcel and forwards it onward to your address in the destination country.
- This way both private and business customers can purchase our loudspeaker fabrics even when we do not offer direct delivery to their country.
- A quick web search will reveal several forwarding services; choose one that suits your destination, preferred shipping method and budget. Important: make sure the forwarder provides a German delivery address and accepts long parcels up to 175 cm — many of our items are shipped on rolls.
Benefits for business and private customers
For companies that order regularly, a parcel-forwarding service is an especially elegant solution. You can consolidate purchases from several suppliers to one German address and have them shipped on together — saving time, effort and often costs. One caveat: when you use a German delivery address, German VAT will apply. In many cases the German VAT rate is lower than that of other EU countries.
For private customers the forwarding option is equally attractive: it allows you to order our loudspeaker fabrics across the EU and, for the first time, from outside Europe as well.
In short: even if we do not ship directly to your address, you are still in the game — with a German delivery address via a parcel-forwarding service. It’s a practical route for businesses who want to order smaller quantities on a regular basis and for the many private customers around the world who can now order our premium loudspeaker fabrics directly from us for the first time.
