Since 9 October 2025, real-time bank transfers have been available free of charge at all banks within the euro area. That’s a major improvement for customers who either can’t or prefer not to use external payment services, but still want to receive their acoustic fabric as quickly as possible.
Whether for an urgent client project or a DIY weekend plan, most customers who order loudspeaker fabric from us want it in their hands without delay. One of our long-standing principles is that all orders placed in our online shop from Monday to Friday are prepared for dispatch as soon as payment arrives. In practice, this means that orders paid by early afternoon usually leave our premises the same day with our shipping partners.
But what if, for whatever reason, you’d rather not pay by credit card or via an external provider such as Paypal? When you select the "invoice/advance payment" option, you receive an order confirmation by email straight away. Yet a conventional bank transfer still takes time. Under EU rules, banks must ensure SEPA credit transfers reach the recipient’s account by the next business day — and most take that full window. It can take up to three days for your payment to reach us, since no bank transactions are processed at weekends, on public holidays or overnight.
Instant payment now free of charge
Until recently, the only alternative was an express transfer or an online real-time payment, often at a premium. Since 9 October 2025, however, all banks in the euro area must offer so-called instant payments at no extra cost. Money can now be transferred within seconds, free of charge, around the clock, even on weekends and holidays. Ordering loudspeaker fabric on a Sunday evening and seeing it dispatched on Monday is now perfectly possible, even with payment by bank transfer.
How to send an instant payment to Akustikstoff.com
- When you place an order and choose "invoice/advance payment", you’ll receive a confirmation email containing all payment details.
- Log in to your online banking and enter the bank details provided.
- Important: Since October 2025, the Verification of Payee (VoP) has been mandatory for all online transfers. Banks now check whether the payee’s name matches the account number. If the name you enter doesn’t exactly match, you will see an error message. As we are a sole proprietorship, the correct account holder name in our case is Rüdiger Mauelshagen (or Ruediger Mauelshagen). Entering only “Akustikstoff.com” will most likely trigger the error message.
- Then select real-time transfer or instant payment and confirm. Your payment reaches us within seconds — no waiting for business days, no delay, and your order is ready for dispatch almost immediately.
Real-time transfers are a practical addition to the existing payment options. They combine the speed of a card payment with the simplicity and security of a direct bank transfer — without any intermediary or unnecessary sharing of data.
