Acoustic fabric FR combines excellent acoustic properties with outstanding preventive fire protection: this loudspeaker fabric has been certified as "non-flammable" (M1) by the French test institute FCBA in accordance with the NFP 92503 standard. It therefore exceeds the requirements of the relevant regulations for the use of textiles in public buildings, according to which loudspeaker fabric must also be at least flame-retardant.
The covering fabric is hard-wearing and can also be pulled around "hard" corners without getting a run. Its very high sound permeability reliably prevents unwanted sound loss in the mid and high frequencies, allowing the sound to pass through almost completely unhindered. The material is also permeable to infrared signals.
Acoustic fabric FR is ideal for use in public spaces, e.g. for boxes, sound absorbers, acoustic images, ceiling sails and loudspeaker panelling in public buildings as well as for interior design tasks, e.g. in shopfitting and trade fair construction.

There are two sound transparency measurement diagrams for every type of acoustic cloth available from Akustikstoff.com:
Diagram 1 shows the measurement in decibels (dB). It indicates how strongly sound is attenuated across different frequency ranges.
Diagram 2 shows the measurement in dBFS (decibels relative to Full Scale). This is a digital reference measurement that represents the acoustic behaviour in relation to the maximum signal level.
Each diagram contains several curves illustrating the effect of fabric tension (stretching):
- without fabric → reference measurement (open transmission)
- fabric at 0% stretch → unstretched condition
- fabric at 3% stretch → typical installation tension
- fabric at 5% stretch → maximum recommended tension
These measurements demonstrate how minimal the influence of the speaker fabric is on sound reproduction. Even at different tension levels, the sound transparency remains virtually unchanged.
