This Speaker Cloth is suitable for covering speakers, soundboards, doorboards, speaker frames, sound absorbers, ceiling sails, acoustic pictures and many other applications.
The speaker fabric is hard-wearing and can also be pulled around "hard" corners without getting a run.
Very high sound permeability is guaranteed by the open knitting technique of this covering fabric. Unwanted sound losses in the mid and high frequencies are thus avoided or minimised. This means that Speaker Cloth can also be used wherever acoustically transparent effects are required.
As our fabrics are open-pored, attention should be paid to the substrate when covering. Too much tension and too strong a colour contrast between the background and the fabric can affect the colour and therefore your object.

It can be processed without difficulty using a standard sewing machine, a strong needle and high-quality polyester thread.

In principle, both sides of the speaker cloth from Akustikstoff.com can be used as the visible side. The speaker cloth is evenly dyed and has the same structure on both sides. The only exception is printed speaker cloth, where the front side is clearly visible anyway.
From an acoustic point of view, it makes no difference which side faces outwards. However, we recommend using the more textured side as the front. It appears more uniform, diffuses light slightly better and provides a particularly even visual appearance, especially under direct lighting.
